A little question?

Before the question itself, welcome to Mike Walker, our newest follower. I just followed a few links among your favourite blogs Mike, and I like a lot what you listen to!!! ;)

Now, time to write down some question marks.

I was answering to a few comments posted on this blog when I saw again this picture I've recently shown:

Photobucket

So here are all four GT40s to have won Le Mans between 1966 and 1969. So my question to you Le Mans buffs is the following:

Unlike the scale models, why a picture featuring the real cars would be impossible to take?

I'll let you think about this for awhile, then I'll come back with the answer and the name of the first among you to have provided to correct answer.

Have a good week-end! :)

hi, I really have no idea, but let me guess:
may be one of the real cars got destroyed and now it is impossible to get the photo.
or may be two cars are the same unit that was repainted from one year to the other.
anyway, I am really intersted to know, let me know your answer please.

...and the winner is...

Gaucho Man, you're really exploring the whole blog right now. I thought no one would ever answer anything to this post hahaha...

You got it all right: both John Wyer entrants, #6 and #9, are the very same car. If I remember well Wyer entered three cars in 1968, then two in 1969, but both times the same car won - not with the same pilots though.
